News and updates on the Skanker? NO WAY! YES WAY! So Warped Tour has come and gone and I've noticed something...what happened to our scene? It's like dead...besides the big name bands coming through town you don't see our scene in action. Crimson Fallout has been trying to get Wil set in the band and also besides the recent two band battle of the bands Andrew Can't Skate is nowhere to be found. There are reports of bands getting ready to play shows and such, but besides that there isn't much going on. But don't get discouraged my fellow Skankers, there is hope. Hopefully soon Crimson Fallout will be playing more shows (although reports from inside the band are saying that shows offers are few and the few gave to them have had to have been canceled due to scheduling conflictions), meanwhile ACS is now up to 6 original songs and they have played all org. sets. That's something to look for at their next show, and WtW seems to have finally found a drummer that wont leave and seems to be preparing fast. So soon there may be shows with those three...something def. to look forward to. Also if these bands keep performing often...with the help of word of mouth and good old Skanker flyer making and passing out, the scene could return to it's former greatness. I also think it could be partly due to the summer and how since we're not in school to spread news easier, that may be why there's a lack of shows and a lack of ppl that show up when there actually are shows.

I also think those of you still going to shows and such here's a bit of a conversation that will keep ya going between me and Wil Riley of Crimson Fallout.

Wil- "The ppl in your scene are tools if you guys can't move to the music you just leave."

Me- "Hey, it beats the heck out of being a Zombie from Elwood's scene. They just stare there and watch...no movement...no fun"

Wil- "Yeah, but you guys just can't sit and listen to a band"

Me- "That's right, cuz if you can't move to it, it's not worth going to the show."

It was at that point Zach from CF chimed in with "That's what CDs are for!"

Yeah, I mean c'mon you Skankers out there will agree if you can't dance it's not worth the show. So this website's gonna help try to revive the scene with show updates and check back reguarly for random WS craziness. With love in and out of the circle...I'm out.

"What is the CPA?" This question has been plaguing the Skankers for the longest time, and everytime it's asked only one answer is given...."it's a great organization" The truth really is...is that it IS a great organization. The truth about this organization may come out one day, it's said the whole story will be released after it's been "mobizlied". For now it's suggested that you stop asking about it and come to terms with the fact if you're reading this then the CPA prob. owns you.
